Celica GTOs won the Championship in its era. Chris Cord was the driver and this is video of Willy T Ribbs driving the 2nd Celica - making up positions after a flat tire.

IMSA GTO was real racing - Awesome!! Willy is the man and I bet he could still get back into a car and go to the front!

The WRC has been running from the 70's. TTE built group A and group N ST165's.
Group N's had 5 bolt hubs and conventional gearboxes. Please check the Celica Club NZ gallery on Facebook for more pics and info.

@MegaStig To be correct, there wasn't ever Celica WRC. Celica was built to group.A. WRC era started 1997 and Toyota came back with the new Corolla WRC after being banner for season 1996.

Please post more of the AAR Gurney Celica's! Your'e looking at one of the 1st all carbon fibre cars with only 600hp, they ruled GTO in 87 and in 88 Cord's injury and Willie's suspension didn't help. Surprised the box is conventional (rear mount?) when the WRC Celica's were sequential XTRAC. Any links to more info/pics/video would be appreciated - on behalf of ST162.net
