@calliope8muse However the issue is still regarded as a matter of Greek politics of which the official website of Greek government bears witness. Read your government website. The issue of Greek international debt is also a matter of politics as everybody knows so the return of marbles and the debt are both equal and thus they are related and can become a matter political agreements.

@calliope8muse Maybe you didn't notice that the issue of repatriation of Parthenon marbles has been presented as the matter of politics from the begining by your famous actor-politician Mercouri. Only the later development turned it into "matter of culture" after the British government refused to deal with it on governmental level, because the marbles as a property do not belong to government but to British Museum.

i think they should dismantle whats left of the parthenon, ship it to england and reassemble it there, all these pieces of greek history deserve to be reunited and kept together in one spot.

@calliope8muse Until you repay all your debts back to your EU neighbors there shall be no Marbles whatsoever!

@wordblender how can you add up oranges and apples together and make up one sum of unrelated things???
obviously them two issues are so different, it would be idiotic to even discuss this further!!!

I am all for the Elgin Marbles being returned to greece (as I am of Greek decent myself), but the way the marbles were removed, has now made them so crippled and damaged that they are crumbling. Even if they did return them, by the time they would be returned, there would be really nothing left....
It is such a shame, since they have stolen what is, and always will be, property of the Greeks... of my people.

Also to let you know that they are PARTHENON marbles & not Elgin marbles!!! If you are Greek you should have been told of the difference and the history behind this!!

@calliope8muse Hey, I am only 13, so you do not have to go on a diatribe about how what I named the Marbles was incorrect, because I am Greek (my history text book stated that they were called the 'Elgin Marbles').
Yeah, I may be Greek, but only half. My Greek father left my mother for an Asian, and refuses to teach me Greek, or any history about Greece itself. My other Greek relatives wont teach me anything, as well, because my father told them not to.
You don't have to be so harsh...

@JorgieeChoi dude I am sorry to hear about your parents refusing to teach you Greek, I hope you grab the chance and get a teacher at your first chance. You need to know the language to find your identity.
I am on on a diatribe, I am just amazed how people who don't know about things stand up and voice their misinformed opinions, rather than asking to learn more?
