Music Video for the Kinks song "Apeman". The premise is around a guy who hates his job goes to the zoo for inspiration and falls in love. Plus, some cool BBC documentary footage of apes in the wild, only because I couldnt go to africa and shoot the apes myself. Anyway, enjoy.

HAH Brother walks by him like "fool get out my way.." I get like that around those dudes flagging around for tax companies and burritoes on the side of the road.

I discovered this song because of this video almost four years ago.
Being from the Chicago area, I watch it when I get homesick. Or when I want a good jam from the Kinks.

You know, it's not just that the Kinks are legendary musical geniuses, but each one of them has a physically gorgeous face. I could stare at their facial features for hour and hours.

5 years on, I've only just seen this. I think you've done an absolutely fantastic job making the video - very sympathetic with the vibe of the song, including the vibe of the era in which it was released. And I thought that cutting back to the ape documentary footage for each chorus was really nice. It almost feels as if this is exactly the video that the Kinks would have created for the release of this song, had music videos been in vogue back then.....Great work :)
