A tune up can imply many things. If you have a 04 buick rainier you have no distributor, rotor, cap, or spark plug wires, which are some of the big things you might replace in a 'tune up'. I would suggest changing your spark plugs and cleaning your mass air flow sensor, both of which you can find videos of in my channel! If you are having any specific symptoms you can troubleshoot those specifically.

I'm a special education teacher, and I just used this with my high school level Transition class. Good information.

Great video. Just a quick question: How much did you pay for your jack and jack-stands? I'm trying to find a bargain so I can do my own oil/serpentine belt changes. Thanks.

If you are looking for cheap, then nothing is going to be harbor freight. I get all of my low-precision tools from harbor freight like an engine hoist sledgehammer, jackstands, etc. For high precision tools like sockets and wrenches I prefer craftsman tools. I have the fanciest jack you can get at harbor freight and I think it was $200. I'm sure you can get a plain jane trolley jack for 20 buck, jacks stands are probably the same.

Thanks! I usually just follow the manufacturer's service interval. I think Nissan's service interval these days is every 5,500 miles but it may have changed on yours. On my Chevy Silverado it uses engine revolutions, miles, time, and other factors to calculate when to change the oil and tells when you when to do so. This can be up to 12,000 miles!

Yo man this video was the best oil change video I've seen by far. No one else actually shows the jack or jack stand placement. I dip my filters gasket in a small amount of the old oil myself as well as the washer of the drain plug for the seal. I don't know if thats too bad or not. Right now I'm running a 08 nissan versa with mobile 1 extended performance fully synthetic because that's what it was on when I bought her. That old says you can go 15,000 miles between changes but I go 7,000-8,000mi.
