  • Opening the club face actually increases the chances of a thin shot for most high handicap players. Low handicap players could probably pull this off.

  • i've improved my game considerably since i started practicing my flop shots. Makes it a lot easier to beat those bunkers when you find yourself teasing one between your ball and the green. Certainly recommend adding them to your practice sessions.

  • This is called a "flop shot". Yes, it can be useful. NOT for beginners. Better for loose bunkers.
