Digital Green Orientation Bootcamp

Digital Green orientation bootcamp in Jashipur, Orissa from May 19-30, 2009. The orientation program for the new Digital Green team included classroom lectures, field walk-throughs, and training of the community workers who will be the ones who extend the Digital Green system in their own villages. The components of the Digital Green system that were covered included video production and dissemination, community mobilization, sustainable agriculture, rural development, partnerships, and communication. The team is a diverse lot - from business professionals to experienced grassroots-level hands to fresh graduates. Through the sweat and tears of the orientation program, the team showed its true colors as a tightly knit group unified in its purpose to improve the social, environmental, and economic well-being of smallholder farmers.
