In this "start to finish" trapping video, John Chagnon (PcsOutdoors.com) makes a Dirt Hole Set for upland animals (coyote, fox, etc.). After scouting a location, John begins by digging the "Dirt Hole"; and, finishes by setting and covering the trap. He also adds a bit of one of his favorite lures... Described in detail, this Dirt Hole Set video can be a great "How to" guide for the new trapper. Trapping Supplies

  • Good basic video. I learned a lot. Thanks

Great vids. The whole trap is completely covered in dirt, even the trap pan?

the trap pan cover you used had a cut out area that exposes the trigger pan right?

so the trigger pan itself is also covered when the dirt is sifted on.

I hope it does not interfere with the trap going off.

  • looks like you're setting your trap, right in the two track, could be run over by motorized vehicle (4X4 or dirt bike) or possibly be stepped on by hiker, hunter, or angler. Just curious, as to , why you did that.
