How Big Is A Crysis Map?

This is an old 2007 video of mine (DeathTyrant on GT).

Sorry I had to use my video camera (the camera is making the weird noise) again, as the recording function in the Editor is ass for me. Also FRAPS doesn't want to play nice.
This is just ONE map, the one used for the Crysis demo.

In cryengine 2 sandbox you can make a 262144mx262144m map, but my 8 gb rig wont load it, it will just crash the sandbox, and it took 6.5 gb ram WITHOUT textures or anything. Now i'm trying to get some money for 64 gb ram, and nvidia quadro graphic cards to make as huge map as possible, add alot of nice stuff there, and then enjoy very damn long walk from 1 side of the map to another :-)
