you can play alternate picking with each kind of distortion, or even on clean channel. i'd rather think that you didn't master it yet ^^ but keep on, i startet similar, and now i'm way better than i could even imagine back those days :D

Try Alternate Picking Too.. i see Only Downstrokes.. But Good as well..!

My distortion don't works well on another picking.. Thats why I don't play it more technical..
