Tracey demos how to BBQ Pacific Salmon on a cedar plank. She makes a spicy rub and smokes the salmon using convection.

  • 0:33 = He smells seamen!

  • @AnalogX64 Well, it seemed to be pleasing to them when they finally ate it - maybe an hour soak might be enough

  • Excellent presentation....the wine in the video is a nice touch and so is the view of your backyard :-)

  • I've seen many videos on youtube and they are al wrong. You need to wet the plank 4-12 hours, than put it on the grill without the fish.. the plank starts to smoke than you put the fish on and cook. You put the fish on a cold plank is not good.

  • Actually, any cedar is relatively toxic it's a very resinous wood. Alder is better.

  • Looks good

  • Be VERY careful using cedar shingles made for the roof. Almost every single type is TREATED and you do not want that wood to cook with. It is fine if it is untreated cedar, but it is very rare to find untreated shingles as they last less then the treated ones on a roof (which is what they are made for).

If they are untreated, then you are good to go!

  • any guys have a cam? i have mine in my profile n
