God Bless every one!! We miss Lowell and Ritchie too, now. What an amazing band and great legacy for Lowell to have been such an integral part of it all.
Was that Merry Clayton in the back with Sam Clayton??
He was a out of state college freshman, that played guitar. We became friends that night, due to the commnon bond of love and respect we both had for Lowell. We all ended up talking for a couple of hours until the gig was over.
Lowell will always be in our hearts. I was sitting on a street corner in Nola last week when a young guy and two girls came over and asked if it was ok to sit on the bench with me. I told them sure. I was thumbing through my phone and he asked what I was doing. I told him I had given a friend a ride to a gig who had hurt his back, so I could help him carry his equipment in and I was killing time listening to Feat. A smile came across this 18 year olds as he said, 'Lowell George."
Great concert! Thanks for uploading
