Exactly. I see him as someone who doesn't want to kill but because of the hunger and thirst that the abilities bring him he needs to in order to feel special and significant.

I believe he does not have a real will to kill.
He has a need.
A need to stop the ticking.
Or thats how I see it.

This is a really cool video! I love the way the clips and the music go together so well! Great job on this!
What is the name of the song?

Exactly. He didn't know what he was getting into. The powers caused him to have that hunger. Once he fully understood his power, the hunger took control. I'm 100% on Sylar's side. He didn't ask to be like this. He never wanted to kill anyone but didn't know who to turn to for help.

*Nods* That was 1x21, The Hard Part.
"Maybe I don't have to be special..? That's okay, to just be a normal watch-maker..? Can't you just tell me that's enough..?"
"Why would I tell you that, when I know you could be so much more? If you wanted, you could be president...!"
The look in his eyes when his mother says that breaks my heart; he looks so horrified and lost. He's scared of the destruction he might cause - genocide via bomb isn't his goal. His call to Mohindr is proof of that.

Exactly. Like in one episode when he asked her if being a simple watch maker was enough, I don't remember what she said but I think that she said something like he could do better and what not. I mean encouragement is key for a lot of people. I mean love also but if your child feels insignificant then you have to tell them that it's enough.

Agreed. Sylar is so very interesting because he's not really evil, persay. He's twisted, definitely, but not evil. And the twisting wasn't there from birth; it was fed into from the revelation of his abilities and his mother's insistence that he could always do better. Not good enough, not ever. If his mother had simply said "yes, that's enough," then maybe he wouldn't have killed anyone else at all.

its not that he wants power just like every other villain but he can actually DO something xD which is wat makes him insanely bad ass :DDDD
Probably one of the best Sylar videos out there. If I may ask, from whence comes the music from the first couple minutes of the vid? I recognized Jenkins' bit, but not that.

The first cue is "Eyeball". It was written by the Japanese composer Yoko Kanno for the anime series "Cowboy Bebop".
It is the featured villain theme in episode 20 titled "Pierrot le Fou".

I've never heard this version of Dieas Irae. I think poor Mozart would roll over in his grave. But I like it...and not to mention Sylar is super hot.

My favorite versions of the Requiem Mass were done by Verdi and Mozart, and Beethoven's was not too bad either. I think Karl Jenkin's setting of Dies Irae has a nifty "swing" to it, and is actually kind of amusing in light of the text's previous settings.
Anyway, thanks for your comment!
