TRU LOVED star Jasmine Guy speaks out for LGBTQ students

Actress Jasmine Guy speaks at a news conference, coordinated by the filmmakers of the new motion picture TRU LOVED, in honor of the more than 900 students at LAUSD's Miguel Contreras Learning Complex's School of Social Justice who participated in the National Day of Silence.

A public commendation from stars of the film and leaders in the LGBTQ civil rights movement was issued not only for their efforts around the Day of Silence, but their year-round commitment to the protection of all LGBTQ students and families.

I'm young, so I didn't live in the Time of A Different World, but I watch it now, and Whitley Gilbert is my FAVORITE character. I LOVE HER!! And she did that accent so well, that I thought she actually talked and acted like that...somewhat. But it's a shocker to see her like this lol. She's so sofisticated and...CLASSY!
