The Red Rooster was once a protege of Bobby "The Brain" Heenan. However, after Heenan berated him after losing a match, the Rooster turned on him and challenged him to a match at WrestleMania.
Oh, BTW, The Red Rooster was portrayed by Terry Taylor, who as actually a very talented wrestler. It was getting stuck with this gimmick that pretty much killed his career, as he never really got over again after leaving the WWF.

ok so the match was probably because rooster and brawler where fueding and bobby being brawler's manager had been interfering so it was probably the roosters revenge and being that bobby was heel manager and generally hated by all faces seeing him get his just deserts was seen as fun moment

Vince needs to stop booking non wrestlers into the WM card! This year we have Micheal Cole, and Snookie getting WM matches WTF!?!?! What a wast of talent for Jack Swagger to be Cole's manager. Well ate least there is some back story with Cole and Laywer. But Snookie, Really! REALLY!!!

why should this match have been longer? Heenan was a Manager not a Wrestler. the matchtime was ok!

I wasn't making fun of it for the length, more for the fact that it was a waste of time and shouldn't have been made. And it definitely shouldn't be at a Wrestlemania. Bobby Heenan is the greatest manager of all time, and I know he's not a wrestler, but this match was a waste of time.
