@paorousama I've read the original sources of that material (e.g. Wisdom of Solomon, Hasepher Retzial, Hasepher Enoch, etc). I'm always reticent, however, to bring up Kabbalah because the real thing is so radically different from the recent Hollywood celebrity religion phase.
I'm very curious though what brought the influence of Judaic/Kabbalistic/Hermetic iconography to Japan... was it the Jesuits? or something/one else? It's fun to try to read the Hebrew on manga/anime magic circles.
@Abderian actually, if you study in depth occult stuff, you'll find that jewish symbols are there because hermeticism and other more esoteric practices use kabbalistic sources.
Hermeticism is the basis for most of those geometric figures and magical circles you see in anime, btw.
