GARY LUCAS: LIVE BORDERLINE, LONDON October 1st, 2004
Gary Lucas performs live solo acoustic at The Borderline in the heart of London's West End, his 3rd appearance there.
Here in a tribute to his old Scottish friends John Stewart and his
wife Mary Lou GARY LUCAS plays a solo acoustic arrangement on his
1926 National steel guitar of his instrumental "And You Will", which
he gave to Jeff Buckley in the summer of 1991, and which became the
basis for the well-known Lucas/Buckley song "Mojo Pin". This is
followed by a solo steel guitar rendition of "Rise Up to Be", which
was the template for Jeff and Gary's song "Grace". Rounding out the
set is Gary's solo acoustic rendition of the theme from the Jacques
Tati film "Mon Oncle", one of Gary's favorite films.
