Toronto: Help Us Help Haiti NOW

http://www.notabletv.com/haiti.php and http://tinyurl.com/y9agofb On Jan, 12, 2009, Haiti was struck by a magnitude 7.0 earthquake. It was the biggest earthquake to hit the Caribbean in 200 years and the death toll is expected to reach hundreds of thousands.

Last year, we sat down with Haiti native Wyclef Jean where he talked about Yele Haiti, a charity started several years ago to support the living conditions in Haiti. Imagine them now...

We've dropped everything at the NotableTV office and have decided to do our part to help Haiti by organizing a major fundraising event in which all proceeds will be donated to Yele Haiti. More details will follow in real time as they happen over the next few days.

In addition to creating the fundraiser, NotableTV is also donating $1 for every 2 people that join Notables initiative to help Haiti to Yele.org. This morning we had started out with the promise of $1 for every 5 people to be donated, but the growing magnitude of the crisis urged us to increase our efforts.
