Review of that Cameron Ling kick in the dying minutes of the game.
The kick was disallowed, due to Ling kicking after a Free Kick was awarded to Gwilt (for a "push in the back")

  • So the stupid rule would suggest that mooney defies gravity and should have fallen backwards.

  • @funkyshammy Well yes. I remember watching a segment with James Hird on a TV segment, of the "definition" of a proper tackle, meaning that how to tackle properly and not get penalised.

It was tackle from the side or from the back and the player that has possesion has to come somewhat backwards (pulled back), not face down with another player on top.

  • would be good if you could spell 'lose' you p*nis. go cats.

  • @hamdcam LoL... Would be good if I had a keyboard that wouldn't have a stuffed key.

    Fixed.

  • FURTHERMORE:

You are clearly a one-eyed Saints supporter who doesnt see the big picture!

A premiership team does not allow the opposition to come back the way St Kilda Did today. I'm NOT saying Geelong are going to win the premiership, but i AM saying that St Kilda won't. DON'T GET COCKY!

This is the 2nd year in a row that St Kilda have scraped into the Prelim's through a retarded ump decision!

ST KILDA ARE NOT A PREMIERSHIP TEAM!!!!!!

  • @proctortom "clearly a one-eyed Saints supporter".

You cannot get any closer to the truth there. Having one-eye, does make me a "true" one-eye supporter..

Initially I thought it wasn't a free, but reviewing the vids, the free was there.

If you are doubting what I am saying, then you are going against me, the ump, and the 6 odd TV commentators that clearly state "it was a free kick". True, he could of slipped, but it's the result what happened. No free = Mooney dragging him backwards or sideways.

  • lol horrid decision

  • @MrFilmtastic ohhh the look on st kilda supporters faces when they lose 2 grand finals in a row and are nowhere this yeah priceless =)

  • when that goal was kicked i thought it was over. was at the game and normally if i have some doubt about if it was a goal or a point or a free kick or whatever, I check the crowd, see who's cheering, who's booing so I had thought we had lost. BTW Geelong peeps, I would rather have seen you win another premiership than Collingwood.

  • the free was there

  • ST KILDA WON AND THAT IS THE END OF IT I AM A ST KILDA FAN AND EVEN IF WE LOSE TO COLLINGWOOD AT LEAST WE MADE THE GRAND FINAL AND GEELONG DIDNT AND IF WE BEAT THE PIES THEN MOORABBIN WILL BE ROCKING ALL NIGHT LONG .

  • @Spanrz I agree. When tackling you are meant to roll the man away from you to avoid falling into his back. This tackle would be pulled up anywhere as he clearly falls into his back. If it was a proper tackle it would have been play on and the goal would have been allowed. It was an illegal tackle.
