This prototype system was not very good at growing plants. Check out the blog http://sweetpotatopromethus.blogspot.com
to find out how I got really nice roots with the "Intensive Care Unit." This is a homemade Aeroponic indoor garden which I am attempting to grow sweet potatoes with. These are Sweet potato cuttings that are a couple of days old.
If you would like to see what happens to the plants and system, come to the blog about it. http://sweetpotatopromethus.blogspot.com

  • Good Day . I just built a aeroponic system for my tomato plants. Do you leave the pump on or do you spray it 4 times a day?

  • I don't have a pump. I just have a fogger and fan on a timer. Both come on for 3 mins and off for 6 mins then repeat forever. Thats it.

  • Yes the water and fog in the same grow chamber with the roots works much better for cloning cuttings then just pushing fog in the grow chamber for me(in fact just the fog for cloning was failing badly). This is just an experiment please don't think I know what I'm doing. I really have no idea but I'm happy to share what I learn. I'm using liquid earth VIGOR and GROW hydroponic nutrients. The plants seem much happier now and are starting to leaf out. I will move back to pure aero in a week or 2

  • grow some weed

  • I like nice fogger set up!

  • You've heard wrong. Aeroponics can double crop size in the same amount of time over soil, and 1/3 faster growth over hydroponics.

  • Since it is not recirculating how much fog is coming out of the unit?

There is waterproff FAN out now!

    Type fogoponics in you tube

  • true aeroponics uses a compresser and atomozier. I think this is a little pricey for the home grower but if its ur hobby then by all means go for it but i've heard the results are not that much of an improvment over soil to justify the huge cost

  • Nice set-up!

But that's ultraponic growing. I've built one ultraponic system to solve one problem i had. Aéroponic roots grow long du to the dripping on the root. It king of drag the growing down. With ultraponique, the roots are in vapor, there is no dripping so the roots grow larger and shorter. They also grow like spongy, spider web like material.. You can't put a plant from earth straight to ultraponic. It has to be prepare with hydro or aero. Use low ppm to avoid accumulation of nutrient.

  • Nice contraption. Oh and Fight the Power.
