Hi- I hate labels. I don't have ANY borderline traits, but because I was abused severly as a child, they automatically call it C-PTSD (because of the length of trauma). I asked my shrink why I have "C-PTSD" if I don't have a lot of the symptoms and they just say "because of the length of trauma". Um.... yeah. But isn't a diagnosis based more on current symptoms than any events that may have triggered it? If I have the "background", but not the symptoms, then I doubt its CPTSD. Good video.

The Vids are good food for thought keep up the good work. Labels and Stigma associated with PTSD are some of the biggest problems that patients face. As well finding a physician that actually understands PTSD and is versed in it. Even finding a Psychologist that has a education in PTSD is difficult. All the best Grant
I concur bipolarlex... if that is the basis for the diagnosis, then it should not have been given to you. Two people can have the identical incident together, one gets PTSD the other not. Both should not be diagnosed just because they both have the same history. A diagnosis is not based upon history alone... totally agree with you and would question this further with your physician.
