I'm sooo thankful for the heat. I'm in the Central Valley and we have 101 temps all week. I've been running in the upper upper 80's/mid-90's for the last 4 weeks. I was afraid the high was going to be 70. That happened to me at San Diego 100 last year and I was freezing the whole time.... 70 is perfect ultra weather, but when your used to 90, 70 and windy is chilly. I'm planning on going out slow.... It's my first "mountain" 100 so I'm treating it like it's my first.

Any more videos of the course. I'm running the 100 as well and that climb does look tough.

You have to get used to the 'elevation not the altitude'! Altitude refers to height above the ground and ELEVATION refers to height above sea level! Sorry but this is one of my pet peeves after spending 37 years as a pilot! ENJOY your run and thanks for the vid!
Ted - Just stuff from previous years I presume. The Diamond Peak climb is tough but the run down from the Rim Trail to the lodge is great fun. Keep in mind that the course rewards patience. Last year was my first 100 here; I got really dehydrated and was running out of water between aid stations. Plan accordingly. It looks like it will be pretty warm in the afternoon probably reaching 85 or so even on the ridge. Good luck. It's gonna be a blast!!! -B
