  • Was this taken on the Rhine River tour?

  • @myway43,

My memory of this 2003 tour is that the Rhine River was early, Ludwig's castle close to the end. I doubt this really helps you. On a tour I don't pay much attention to national maps, since it's specific locations, especially cities, where I turn to local maps.

  • I can't believe that a King would be called mad for building beautiful castles maybe ahead of his time or eccentric..look at some of the things built today and money spent it's all in the period of time it's built.

  • Horrible music

  • @myway43

No. But I highly recommend visiting at least Koblenz to mainz on the Rhein cruise and going to Neuschwanstein as well

  • hes my ancester and im proud cause a genious at his time is considered crazy ,he made that place seem beautiful

  • I think, in the end Bavaria now makes more money with this castle than Ludwig II. spent on it.

  • awthe music in the beginning hurts my ears

  • That's very cool! I' live in the south (Fl.) but was raised in N.J.. Up north it seemed people were more in touch with there nationality and ancestral roots whereas in the south most white folks have very little knowledge or interest about these things. Primarily there is a strong Scotch-Irish background you can also see this in the slave names. There are a lot of black people with Scotch-Irish names: Mcintosh, Mcneal, O'conner etc.. Many Euro-Americans have allowed our cultures to drown and die

  • Yes, Europe is great, especially since I have a keen fascination with history. I don't know too much about my family history, but I do know I'm descended from Austrian nobility and then somebody from Russia as well. I'm curious at to whether it was pre-revolution or not.
