consider the home assembled quad, it has each component in a separate box, with long wires between, where even transmitter and recover can be on the same board or next to each other with the correct shielding and antennas on apposing sides(booms).

then their is the dam simple stuff they have made the motor boom and hub clean aerodynamically not wasting watts on creating more turbulence,.

these re-flashed esc's allow for better handling but compare before and after power usage

40 minutes is not that hard with current fpv quads, just do the math, don't over prop and motor for payload don't go for 3d flight use carbon fuselage and build your own battery, from currently available batteries get all proprietary connectors out solder all lines minimise all wire lengths lose all the heat shrink where possible.

also you can bet they boosted their figures a bit in expectation their techs can squeeze a bit more out of it with some creative programing and tweaks

you've got to be kidding me. Those are toys, good luck finding one of those that can stay in the air for 40 minutes and that has a similar range.

This thing is awesome. It looks like a toy hobby quad, but it most definitely is NOT.
