shaking a martini doesn't 'bruise' the gin. how can you keep perpetuating this nonsense in 2012? all it does is a) aerate it making it look ugly, b) put ice shards in it making it less pleasant to drink, c) dilute it more than stirring it does. there is no such thing as 'bruising'.
