@guncrazy12 aluminum is disolving in the murcury and reacts with the air because it no longer has a layer of oxide over it

You need aluminium to make thermite.
Aluminium oxide will not work.
This is a thermite reaction.

Do you post the same comment in EVERY video dealing with aluminium/mercury? So what if they contain aluminium, they do not contain PURE aluminium. If I was you I would be more worried about all that sodium you are carrying around in your body. After all sodium reacts violently with water, right?

Mercury is more prevalent in the environment and in people from the US than anywhere else in the world. Consider also that many if not all over the counter drugs and personal hygiene products contain aluminum, among other elements.
Who knows what the combined detrimental effect of these substances have on your body when mixed together.
