"men are men and men are cleaning the house" is translated into the german "Männer sind Männer und Frauen sind die Reinigung des Hauses" what means "men are men and women are cleaning the house". And there are much more bugs like them.

at school we've been told that you should only translate words, not documents/sentences because computers don't take notice of language rules i.e backwards scentences and phrases in welsh

Google translator sucks.

It translates "chaos" to croatian "haos", but that's in serbian. In croatian is "kaos". Any MANY MANY other wrong words.

I expected more professionality from google... -.-

They already confess it google scans all webpages even those who are private so that means google does not really care our privacy

However, translate mobile is much more worse than the web application, and doesn't give you alternatives, just one result..

I use it often for Spanish or Portuguese and it really helps!

beware of google translate . It could be hilarious. It is safe , though , to translate a single word at a time . beyond that (specially in Arabic) you call the language ambulance before trying.
