In the early 1950's, diesels were introduced in quantity on American railroads. One of the most popular, successful and long lived designs was the E.M.D. series of locomotives. Both passenger and freight versions were built with many variations, the model chosen being the F7. One great advantage of diesels was that several locomotives could be controlled by one driver. In the E.M.D. design, locos were produced as 'A' units with a drivers cab and trailing 'B' units. Both units are available in model form to make a number of variations. The model reproduces the full size locomotive in miniature, with a wealth of detail on bogies, chassis and body. Features include; Four motors with 12/24v electronic control, gear drive, twin tone horns, full lighting, Authentic body, chassis and bogie detailing including springs, glazed windows/windscreens, headlamp, handrails etc
