As a guy looking from the outside in, I see no reason that your idea should not work. It is the same technology that the trucking industry uses,loss of air=stopping. The idea of safety chains is no good, All of the time spent making the cars to scale only to add an ugly chain!.

Hi Dave. To those who reckon you will put a flat on the wheels even on steel tell em to use 4140 steel for wheels which is harder than the mild steel we use in track so you would wear the track instead. Personally i think the band brake is a great idea. Only need to know where you got your triple valve from?

I made the triple valve and I don't give out that info No onwe want's to pay for the r& d work so it will say my secert sorry.
