The first look at My Japanese Coach's placement test. Excuse my slowness in the video. It's been 2+ years since I've studied Japanese.

Even though I skipped the first 10 lessons the game still insisted I was a pre-schooler.

Questions 6-10 are listening exercises. Sorry folks no audio, I tried recording it with audio but it came out blotchy.

  • No sound for this clip..?

Doesn't that defy the purpose of uploading this..?

  • I wanted to put sound but I think it's not absolutely necessary. Besides the listening exercise, the only sound you hear is the bg music and the sound for correct/incorrect answers. If you can read kana the screen says "Jouzu = good," plus it's color coded.

  • I cannot trust this game...

Because this woman's dress is a South Korean dress.

And Her eyes and cheek seem to be a South Korean's.

  • That's funny, because the sash is under the bust where the obi for kimonos are placed. The korean dress sash are placed on the bustline itself.

    Silly, learn your national costumes.

  • @teamjacobbella32 Nope, no German learning game afaik. Perhaps a Game to Learn Englisch by German. Just reverse it :D

  • @Karldaj D:

somehow im like level 30 and i forget the first kana lesson! but strangly i remember the kanji lesson :S

  • well well, people look different. in every country!

I like this "game". It helped me to get started with learning japanese and is a good way to learn hirigana and katakana. before i go to sleep i train a few mintues every day.

Well i think i already have played it over 100 hours and now learned the kanji for first graders ^^

  • @katherinechunky True , but since this is just a drawing, it is suposed to be drawn like how a japanese looks like xd

  • @ImAsianIchigo yes there's a little difference, but it's not like you can accurately tell a northeast asian's ethnicity by their eyes or cheekbones, you know? :o

like apparently south koreans generally have higher cheekbones and japanese people have weak jaws and stuff like that. it doesn't mean japanese or chinese people can't have high cheek bones, etc

  • @katherinechunky The eyes are not the same, i see a difference in korean and japanese, and cheeks are different too.

  • @lolohour Yes it is. But, you should also buy other things to help you learn Japanese. =)

  • Is it worth buying if you wanna learn japanese?

  • @teriyakinasu the dress is a kimono, and south koreans wear hanboks. the eyes are the same for most east asians, and do cheeks tell anything?

  • @FUZ3TTE

I'm a low intermediate in Japanese, tried out the game... it was surprisingly really good.
