Note: This is a fix for the problem I encountered and is not intended to be the solution for all problems as each problem can be different from what I encountered. And don't comment on how I am a faggot and did it wrong, try some experimentations yourself instead of wasting my time with useless comments. I FIXED MY SUPPLY BY JUST COMMON SENSE. PUT PRESSURE ON THE WIRE AND RUN YOUR HAND DOWN IT AND FORCE THE INSULATION TO MOVE BECAUSE THE SAME THING IS WHAT FORCED IT OUT IN THE FIRST PLACE.
Thanks so much man! MacBooks been down for weeks and I had no cash to go buy a 100 dollar charger. Just tried your trick and it worked like a charm!

Thanks! That did the trick... Truly the easiest way to explain and fix the problem.

great temporary fix!! It will eventually fail and need soldering, but this will work for a while. It helps to wrap a cloth (hankerchief, t-shirt, etc.) around the cord, then squeeze tightly and pull toward the end that is shorted out. thanks again for sharing this great idea for repairing the cord :-)
