  • Great video! I'm a beginner and I've watched alot of other videos. None of them mentioned dropping your jaw. That helped the sound I make. Thanks. How long should I practice what I've learned from each lesson before I move to the next one?

  • @totalliconfused - I'm so glad that my videos have helped you. Ideally it would be beneficial to master each concept before moving on.

  • Do you use tongue block or pucker?

    also good explaining!

    thx!

  • @Bluesbehaviour - In the beginner videos I use the pucker/lip block method with tongue blocking to come in the intermediate series.

When I actually play I use a combination of the two because each has its own advantages.

  • hey man,i just bought my first harmonica and it's exactly like yours a suzuki masterpro in the key of C,but i have a problem, when i draw from the second hole it doesn't make any sound, and btw this vid was rly helpful, but plz help me with my problem

  • @CYBERDUDE95 - Maybe your embouchure is too tight, too tense and you are sucking through the harp. Concentrate more on simply breathing through the harp whilst keeping your embouchure completely relaxed. To check if the reed is jammed play a draw chord on holes 1,2 and 3 simultaneously. If you can hear the pitch of the 2 draw as part of the chord then the reed is working fine and it is your embouchure and technique that is the problem.

  • My harmonica is very long, has 24 holes and it has two rows of holes! What kind of harmonica is that?

  • @ox4poluter different makes have slightly different charcteristics, but I think your ptoblem maybe that your harmonica is in a different key. In this tutorial the harmonica is in the key of C, the most popular key for learning the harmonica. You can get a different key harmonica based on the root note of the key, etc A, B, C, D, E, F, G and not g forgetting the likes of Bflat

  • @ledzeppelin611 thanks for the reply, it says its in the key of c on the packaging but i think its just a cheap not verry well made one, it says on the box its ''A Tremolo harmonica with 20 sets of double holes' it has 20 on top and 20 on bottom, i find it very difficult to play with that manny holes because the air has plenty ways to escape, oh well practice makes perfect

  • @ox4poluter different harmonicas are in different keys, the most commonly used is the key of c, however you might have a different key. it usualy says it on the harp itself. He is playing a harp in c.

  • my little bro just bought me a harmonica, it doesnt sound the same are all harmonicas supposed to be the same or are they all different?

  • you are sucking through the harp? how do you get sound if you dont? now I'm really confused.

  • Super good lesson! Thanks much!!

  • Great Lesson thank you ..What was that riff you played Muddy waters Rollin and Tumbblin.

  • Great Lesson thank you ..
