This is a very good thing to practice because it means your engaging your diaphragm and not just breathing into the chest cavity.

Hey, i just started singing recently and I've noticed people classifying their voices with instruments like baritone and tenor ect.. How can I identify what type of voice I have?? and what's an accurate method of finding my current vocal range?? please and thank you!! :)

My sons, weary of my murdering various tunes, bought me "Singing for Dummies"- which didn't live up to it's title, as the part relating to the soft palate was difficult to understand.
The genius in many things, such as design, manufacturing or instruction, is not in complexity, it is in making complex thinsg simple, which is what you have acheived here.Many thanks.
