there isn't a such a thing a as 4c hair. It goes up to 4b. Type 3: 3b. If you clairfy your hair beforehand, it will work and I say that for any product line that has fillers, softeners and cones. Yo must clairify. They do cause buildup but these agents help the hair to soften and de-frizz.

i have noticed that a lot of their commercials have failed to show the wide variety of natural hair textures. its always a loose curl pattern. i have yet to see anything 3b -4c in texture.
