@flapflunk-that was exactly my point. i was using sarcasm but i find it amazing that THIS was his worst olympics at age 15 and now look where he is today. he's awesome.

@samuelflower-Isn't it something how he/she is saying this is Phelps's WORST Olympics even tho he won 6 gold medals?? LoL He won 8 in Beijing so.....this guy is amazing I tell ya. But actually 2000 was his worst cuz he only swam one race, he was 15, and he came in 5th. Who knew he would become one of the greatest Olympians of all time??

@olympianlondon2012 er... no, sydney olympics 2000 was his worst, because he was only 15 and he was only in the 200 fly, no other events. he came 5th

What do you mean worst?He got SIX GOLD MEDALS in one Olympics! Do YOU have six gold medals? Umm...no! You can't measure success by world records! Many great swimmers don't actually hold world records, they just swim well. Phelps is a legend stop hating!

This olympics was probably one of phelps' worst international performances (the worst being the following year in montreal)... only one world record in the 400IM.
