@dynamitefan8 The world is smaller and more crowded and in the abscence of a power to confront the west, terrorism has flourished. Without confronting that in whatever way, the west will cease to be the nations calling the shots. I wouldn't want to see 500 years of enlightenment and socialization go out the window because we're too politically correct to say what's true even if it is very ugly.

@dynamitefan8 well America came and confronted Germany with you and the rest of the west, but before that, no no one came to Britains defense because the world was a much different place. Before internet, and television and the modern era, it was all about nationalism. Things have changed.
