Well, I'm back in the video-making saddle again, but with something different than what I've done before. I pretty much describe what the video is about early on, but I'll describe it here anyway. Me and some friends from Animation Source are working on a rock ballad version of "Reach For The Light", the theme song from the 1995 movie "Balto", for use in The Sourcecast, the official podcast for Animation Source. In this video, I play my bass lines for that song along with a recording of the actual song itself, so that you, the viewer, will get an idea of how my lines match up with the song. I have not yet heard the guitar or drum parts yet, as our drummer wants to hear the guitar and bass parts first.

  • thats the easiest song ever theres barely any bass

  • There's actually more to it than what there is in here. But it wasn't until AFTER I recorded this video that I got the sheet music to that song from a friend. And I came up with the lines in here myself. The real bass lines are FAR more complex than what you see here. The verses actually have TWO bass lines: one at a lower range and one at a higher range.

  • Next time calm down and think of what you're going to say. If you get hung up like that on stage you're never going to hear the end of it.

  • It's definitely interesting. It should sound interesting when it's all put together, xD
