Authors Chris Crutcher, Robie Harris, and Carolyn Mackler - who all know a thing or two about banned books - invite you to come to Chicago September 29 to participate in the Banned Books Week Read-Out! at the Pioneer Plaza on Michigan Avenue (between the Tribune Tower and the Chicago River). To celebrate Banned Books Week (Sept. 29-Oct. 6), Chicago celebrities will join authors from 1:00-4:00 p.m. to read passages from their favorite banned and challenged books. Admission is free. all:
Why wait for bann book week to practice our rights to read books, when we have the right practice our rights to read books every day! We have the power to decide what we want to read, when we want to read and when to stop reading! There is not need for others to decide what is appropiate for us, we have our own mind and our own minds say we want to read this or that BOOK!
