"Auto-tune" is a plug-in. That means it adds on to any decent DAW program like pro tools, cubase, or logic.

Record vocal, apply autotune, set to "Auto" mode, set the key of the song, make the reaction time the SHORTEST possible, that's what makes the notes sound robotic, notes instantly "snap" with no pitch sliding between notes.
