Two minutes to four this afternoon, Dan Choi knocked on the door of the military's recruiting station in Times Square.
Before he walked to the door, he stopped and answered a few questions. In this segment, Dan reminds everyone, no doubt his words were meant for the military brass, that, "You remember the military's values. We'll not lie or tolerate those who do... If you remember the baseline values of our military... basic integrity, honor, and truth... as long as you keep that in the front, then all your decisions, even in a tough situation, you're going to be doing the right thing."
remember the values? really? dan choi wasn't willing to serve unless his comrades were forced to accept, condone, and encourage his behavior. reminds me a lot of the army's core value of "Selfless Service" in that they're complete opposites.
