Charmed - Unaired Pilot (Opening Credits)

I made this by myself using Windows Movie Maker. I used clips from the unaired pilot episode of "Charmed" where Phoebe Halliwell is played by Lori Rom & Andy Trudeau played by Chris Boyd.

I saw a Charmed documentary where they said Shannon Doherty was the one who insisted her best friend, Holly Marie Combs should play "Piper." If this is true, why did Holly not insist they keep Shannon when Alyssa Milano had her fired? Does anyone know the answer?

I think the show was way much better without lori rom she made the show seem boring.

We wouldn't know because she only played the character just for an episode unlike Alyssa who played it the whole series.

Why funny? Did she made anything that made you laugh? I don't she's a bad actress to play the role of Phoebe. But still I believe it would be a big difference if Lori continued playing the role of Phoebe. She wouldn't be the seductive and and sexy Phoebe we knew as what Alyssa did.

Part 5: I'm not sure about what made Lori replaced. Its even possible that the directors just found Alyssa a better actress.. I don't know, but poeple shouldn't say like that about Lori.

As I said, its all because we're habituated to see Alyssa as Phoebe and that's why we're finding mistakes in Lori. Nobody actually knows that it was better or not remove Lori since she just did an episode which wasn't even supposed for audience to see since its an unaired pilot.

Part 4: At last some would say that "If she was so good, then why did they remove her?" That's because at the time when the show got green signal, Lori wasn't available. The directors didn't wait and chose Alyssa instead who was fresh face.

Maybe Lori herself left. You see, the pilot episode was actually not impressive. When I started watching the show I thought to drop it and watch Buffy instead. But it got better after few episodes. Maybe Lori thought the show isn't going to be a hit..

Part 3: But doesn't it seem odd that why out of 4 sisters only she looks like her mom? Lori looked much like Rose if you see. Lori was little taller than Shannen & Holly, but Rose is as tall as her and we accepted her so why not Lori?

Now few people even say she couldn't be the seductive Phoebe we knew as what Alyssa did. But hello, if Buffy The Vampire Slayer's creators could make the geeky Willow (Alyson) hot, then why couldn't they make Lori?

Part 2: People say Alyssa acted better than her. Maybe, but it was just her 1st episode and I'm sure she would have gotten better as the series progressed. Even Shannen was a little bumpy if you ask me, but I like her.

I don't say I hate Alyssa, I really like her but not as their sister. You see, she doesn't look like Holly or Shannen at all. So they made their mom's actress to look similar to Alyssa to show that she looks like her mom whereas Prue, Piper & Paige are like their dads.

Part 1 of comment: Why is there so much debate over Lori & Alyssa? Why does everybody hate Lori so much? And am I the ONLY one who likes Lori?

The reason why everyone says Alyssa is better because we're used to watch her as Phoebe and can't imagine anyone else in her place. I'm sure if they started the show with Lori then we would have liked her also since we would be accustomed with her.

In my opinion,

Alyssa was better for the role of Phoebe,

especially because she looked so young and "innocent" in season 1,

compared to Lori.

I mean, I saw the unaired pilot and she didn't looked like the youngest sister.

@Tomi289 I knew she directed the last episode, but did she actually help write the script? I know there were at least two episodes in the last two seasons where Shannen was absent for most of the episode. Season 2 - She was sucked into a portal with one of the four horseman of the apocalypse and Season 3 - She was turned into a dog for 90 % of the episode. I just assumed they had to write her out because she didn't show up for taping. I'm surprised they didn't do an "I Hate Prue Book."

@jimmy82869 it wasn´t just about her arguing with alyssa, but shannen´s behaviour was just bad to everyone and everyone who´s been ever doing a TV show with her says she is not a good person, in charmed she always wanted to change the plot and she decided to leave, she was not fired, she left herself and made a scripture and direction of last episode with her....but I like Paige more than her :) since the time I have known this, I dont like prue :D
