Virtuoso stride pianist Chris Dawson performs this Fats Waller classic with rhythm section including Hal Smith (drums), Christoph Luty (bass), and Denny Hardwick (guitar). This video version uses the complete audio track from take one, with video edits combining two different takes to provide varied camera angles (fortunately the versions were at the same tempo). This song be part of an upcoming CD release by Chris Dawson.
Superduper. More Fats from this guy please.

It's very rare to hear an excellent real note-by-note Waller-version of the Handful of Keys!

Never heard this stride piece with a small combo section, sounds great! And the pianist is incredible.

I'm an 83 yr. old, and I used to listen to my Dad's 78's, and play this over and over. Still do to this day, and have played it for my kids. I had seen Fats in old movies, but he never had played this. I used to imagine him playing with thos big hands! I got goose bumps, and still do. My son sent this to me, and I cried seeing it plyed for the first time. You are wonderful! I widh I could give you a big hug! Bless you. He, by the way, is trying to learn it!
