  • And when you guys get to this millennium, call me.

  • I am scientist also, but why so worry like this, the important thing is the truth is winner, do you worry your work will be reject? if it is not truth ?

  • We know that evolution is true, but some people want to spread their ideas in schools, they want to make schools a battleground, that has happened in U.S. is an example, that is not the way science is done.

  • @gethsoftware Same, both side do same way.

  • @Xiloforce yeah, most of creationist are in eastern european countries that are poor.

  • @rizloct why? bechose we have seen this in history. mystics gain support and power, and down comes the banhammer. if you dont aggresivly call people on their bullshit then it lives on bechsoe you did not addres it. so many people whuld rather prefere to savety blanket of fantasy over the merciless truth. but without that search for truth most of us whuld not be alive. it is a fight against our other nature witch is selfish and closedminded. we want our better nature, the open and curius to win.

  • "Creation science" is a contradiction in terms.

  • Everyone is free to believe whatever they like. If u believe in the Christmas man or the flying spaghetti monster you are allowed to. But that doesn't make it fit for science education. Teaching creationism as an alternative to evolution is like teaching the Greek mythology as an alternative to meteorology(Modern understanding of wheather principles). I'm glad Europe doesn't take this crap like some parts of the USA do.

  • @IslamBosnia1990 You should be serious. Grow up and get some knowledge and education...

  • The bible is a great book, but you have to get it's essence, you cannot read it word for word and believe you have gotten the truth. Stupid christians wihout the ability to think for them selves are the reason religion is a dying phenomena, well, at least in europe it is

  • at last some people have the balls to say no to this bullshit creationism

  • @rizloct In short, children should not be the judge of "what's true". What should be the judge is the scientific method. Demonstrable phenomena should be considered true and can possibly be taught in schools if it has useful applications. Insane conjecture and unsupported dogma should not.

Also, with regard to Harum Yahya's books, a minimum standard for biology textbooks should be that they don't present fishing lures as "insects".

  • @rizloct The main issue isn't which ideas end up winning, but what the criteria should be for being allowed to spread ideas to a nation's children. We know perfectly well that you can easily make people believe false things. This is shown clearly by how children virtually always adopt their parent's religious dogma, even though at most one religion can be correct, and most of humanity must belive false dogma by logical necessity.
