If he was so good then he would be champ, BJJ is not MMA. You should know that bye now. Did you ever see the Ed Herman Maia fight? You are either in tight on either sweeping to kicking the hips away to get to your knees, you stay there playing bjj you will not last long

I started with Royce then Fransisco Bueno,then Chris Brennon,Greg Stall, Antonio Mc Kee and any other wrestler Jiujitsu Thai boxer I came across. I have taught at the Body shop home of the Sabers in the IFL, I have coached many MMA fighters and so on and so on. The Bottom line is he is not controlling posture like it or not. In my gym his face would turn into hamburger doing that.

Marcos Santos, Renzo Gracie and all the instructors there at the time including Danaher - Rodrigo - and the Serra brothers. I then trained at Straight Blast Gym where Ryan Hall was on the mat as a White Belt pulling off triangles, I then trained with Marcelo Garcia and Fabio Calmente. I teach kids the inner city community centers Martial Arts. I also boxed at the world renowned Bed Stuy Boxing Gym and kick boxed.

@1lostinspace - How long have you been training BJJ if at all. Maia's technique shown in this video is flawless the way he control the posture and balance is superb!

He should throw straight punches down the middle ,not these looping punches.

maybe gi or top game jiujitsu but on the bottom taking punches far from it, remember when he fought Herman? He took shots the whole fight.
