  • I was glad to see another video from you! I hope you and Dustin have a nice Christmas & New Year's together. :)

  • The biggest issues are low blood sugar, continued destruction of my pancreas, malnutrition/malabsorption, cancer and bowel strictures caused by having to take oral enzymes. I have felt at wits end but have foudn strength in knowing God knows all and will only give me what I can handle. Best of luck with SCD. I know many who have had great success. I tried the diet but can't tolerate the carb intake due to low blood sugar issues. I follow a modified paleo diet. Have you looked into mito disease?

  • What a wonderful video! My life has been so similar. I have been very ill since Sept and spent Oct, Nov and part of Dec in the hospital. After several years of GI issues, finally it was discovered my pancreas is failing, chronic pancreatitis--it's not producting enzymes and can't regulate blood sugar. Every time I had severe GI pain, it was my pancreas digesting itself. I too face possible cancer complications and may need my pancreas, spleen and appendix taken out.

  • ... and have found reflexology has helped me a bit with it too. I think I'm going to cut down even a bit further on grains (especially corn) and sugar too as well, and really work out which fruits & veg suit me best. The dark green cabbages are supposed to be great for gut bacteria for UC etc? It's great that you can see miracles in love. I believe that's how God made the world to be, but it's a fallen world now, not how it's supposed to be. But God's still there, and still cares! :)

  • Wow what a lovely video and what a compassionate soul you are Kyli! :) Sorry to hear about your health problems. I reckon I find it's better to try not to think of it as "oh no, another diagnosis on top of the POTS" etc - it's all kinda related, and I know of many people who have suddenly got UC for a while, just as they have been getting better from ME/CFS/CFIDS. I did last year too (thankfully not very severely, but badly enough). I was already gluten free...

  • You have been through so much. I am glad they found the UC, but I understand the feeling of having just one more thing to add to the pile. And glad you found the new place to live! Good to see you.

  • Continued- Well he gave me a list of high potassium foods. Long story short I started feelin better about a month later, the gal bladder test and this time it came back normal. My Dr. Called me weird. I'm like at least you see what I'm talking about when I say how sensitive my body reacts. Anyways please please please do the cooking videos soon. I really wanna take control and start a better diet. I really think it would help us all. Thanks so much, so happy to see a video, I always hope to se

  • I had serious stomach issues recently. I also thought it was a "pots thing" but it ended up that my doc wanted to take out my gal bladder. I explained to him how the potassium I was taking for the last year and a half seemed to aggravate my stomach. And it just got to a point where I couldn't take the pain anymore. So he told me to stop taking it. But didn't think it was the prob. I was kinda worried because when I got on it, mine was so low they thought I could have a fatal arrhythmia .

  • I am so sorry thay it has been so rough on you. I'm really glad that you and Dustin have each other. I know that Nathan means the world the world to me and he is so great to me when I really need him. So I know how much each of you means to the other! I hope you guys have an awesome holiday season!

  • Great to hear from you. My sis has UC, so I'm sorry to hear of your diagnosis. I like a quote by Max Lucado which says, "This isn't heaven, so don't expect it to be." Sure, we with POTS want to be "normal" - but what we lack in physical ability, we shine in love. It seems sometimes in life there is a trade-off. It's like one may have poor health but a strong marriage while another may have great health but an awful marriage. It just reminds us that we're not home yet; there, all will be well.
