I didn't know him and I feel sorry for anybody who suffers a gruesome death.
He was known to the gardai though...
Did Darren know many of his victims? Lots of people suffered by his selfish actions.
He spread plenty of suffering, stress, anxiety and pain: he was a thief, car-jacker, burglar and yob. It wouldn't have been long before he moved from being a drugs/money/gun runner to more violent gang-employment. Once you're "in" that's it... sooner or later you're dead.
