  • absolutely hate this grill! The transmitter plate with the tiny holes gets clogged all the time.... even if I'm just cooking something similiar like hamburgers. I seasoned the grates and transmitter plate properly and yet it's still hard to clean. I have to clean it before using it each time. The biggest waste of money ever! I'm surprised that more people aren't complaining about those tiny holes getting clogged.

  • @jdemichele19 We're sorry to hear about this. The best way to clean out the holes in the cooking grate housing tray is by using the Quantum Grill Grate Cleaning Brush. The bristles on this brush are designed specifically to remove food particles and any other buildup that may occur on the cooking grates or housing trays. Warm soapy water can also be used to help remove food particles. For more information please contact us at the Char-Broil website. We would be happy to further assist you.

  • I owned this grill for a month and used it for ten times. This is by far the most regretful purchase I have ever made. The transmitter plate (full of tiny holes) is suck to clean. There is no fast way to clean it. If the holes are clogged, it means your food takes forever to cook. You are then vulnerable of eating raw meat. Also, the food prepared by this grill absolutely lacks barbeque's taste.

  • @nsmsam To remove food particles and other build up from your cooking grates and grate housing trays please use the Brush Hawg Grill Brush or the Quantum Grill Grate Cleaning Brush. Both of these cleaning brushes should be able to provide a very thorough cleaning. For further information please visit our website or contact us directly. We would be more than happy to best assist you with this.

  • Most all user comments on Lowes would disagree with this. The grates emit a rust powder when scraping and we have big doubts over placing food on this metal contaminate. Can you also advise on why commenters are able to stick magnets on your stainless steel grill parts?

  • @longwalkshortpier When scraping the cooking grates and grate housing trays food particles and other debris can appear as a powdery form. Your cooking grates are still completely safe to use. Warm soapy water and the biodegradable grill cleaner can even be used to more thoroughly clean the cooking grates. The cooking grates and grate housing trays are made of 430 grade stainless steel and can still be stuck to magnets. For more information please visit the Char-Broil website or give us a call.

  • @jdemichele19 , Thanks this is just the comment for which I am concerned---the tiny hole problem. I'm getting the Stokes grill instead of the charbroil infrared burner. I noticed that Charbroil recently stopped selling the tiny hole grates and has, instead, put in a curvy linear trough in its place. This is untested ground and I'm not sure that that'll work.
