  • Ofcourse I now see why yours sounds better than everyone elses, you have have a upgraded motor. Getting my ht pipe tomorrow! After watching your wheelie vid, I'm definitly going to have to look into one (new engine)after doing some smaller up grades.

  • The HT pipe will really help to wake up your stock engine. The stock aftershock/raminator pipe is really restrictive on power. You will notice a nice difference at all rpms... :-)

  • I use the heat cycle method for nitro break in. Start the engine, get temps up around 200 or so slowly driving the vehicle around for 10 minutes. Then cut off engine making sure you have the piston at BDC(Bottom Dead Center) and take the vehicle in your house and let it cool completely off. Then continue repeating that until 2-3 whole tanks are through the engine. Then I put a race tune on the engine and let it rock from there on. I've never had a engine failure using this method.

  • @tigerfan3905 I only use a temp gun as a reference. If your engine is running good at temps between 180-270 then it's fine. If you see your temps rising above 270 you need to richen it. Traxxas . com actually has some decent tuning videos on their site.

  • @tigerfan3905 Adjust your high speed first to where it pulls good at mid to top end with a good steady trail of smoke. Then bring it in to idle. If after you stop the idle starts to rise then you need to richen your bottom end. If it starts to flood and the idle lowers constantly then lean it and only lean your needles a 1/16th at a time. Most carbs are really sensitive to settings. The biggest mistake is to turn it a lot at a time. Tune by sight and sound not temp. Temp gun is reference.

  • Mine sucks for jumps i broke the muffler and the pull star is broken from a 1 foot jump!

  • 6 days till i get my raminator

  • i love the raminator it is so cool

  • lol they got nailed!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I ended up getting a jp-4 and it was like I had a new truck. I couldn't believe the difference that just a new pipe has made. Thanks for the recommendation.

  • I do have a tuning question. After break in I began to lean out my high speed. It responded as expected, but the low speed is somewhat confusing me. It began to bog down after it when into 2nd when I leaned it even alittle,so I richened it back up and it did fine at high speed again. The problem is it won't stay idle very long and is still wanting to flood alittle. I haven't tried this yet, but was going to try opening up the throttle on my controller. I live in louisiana and it's hot right now
