Yellow Bellied Slider Aquatic Turtle Explores The Back Yard

Tucker, Eenie, Meenie, Mynie, & Mo have been LOVING the pond in the back yard for quite awhile now, since outgrowing their tank in the house. They live surprisingly peacefully with rosy barbs and about a dozen regular 'feeder' goldfish. I had gotten all the fish while quite small for 'dinner' for the turtles, but they didn't seem interested. So, those fish are getting quite big.

Anyway, Eenie always comes up to see me and I thought I'd let him explore the backyard to see where he'd go. Funny little guy. Such personality - as far as turtles go.

Are the gold fish for food or just "decoration."

@DnileCosplayer Well, when I first got them, they were just some 'feeder goldfish' that the turtles used to eat when they were young. As the turtles got older, they just eat pellets and greens - so the fish grew.

@LoveFromBelgium Actually all of my turtles were given to me by my son in law - and yes they were all babies - very small.

That isn't a YBS because YBS have other patterns on their heads. I think it's a cooter. But he looks very healthy anyways.

ok this is going to sound insane and probably a reli stupid question but can you train turtles in anyway? i dont mean liek sit or .....roll overXD HA just like can they come to you just by the sound of your voice?
