Duck in fireplace

We were sitting on the couch heard a soft thump from the fireplace and looked over. Sitting in the ashes, was a female mallard duck! So the duck was in the fireplace in our house, we caught her after we put down the camera. She was very happy to get out of the fireplace and to go outside. Why a duck would fly down a fireplace is beyond me, it's not like there's water in it LOL! She was unharmed and flew off after being released into the back yard.

Did you take him to a lake? or just let him go in your backyard?

@halopunkdud3 We let him go in the backyard, there's a pond in the lot next door. He kinda waddled a bit once we put him down and then flew off towards the pond.
