Dr. Caspary escorts Nick into a dark room with nothing but a sterile table with a tiny body bag. The doctor asks Nick if he'd like to be alone. He silently nods. The doctor tells him to take all the time he needs. He tells her that his daughter was a person. She had a name. The doctor puts her hand on his shoulder and says that baby had everything, except time. She then leaves the room. A tearful Nick then inches toward the table. Steadying himself, he kneels by the table and opens the body bag. He is silent for a moment, but then, still sobbing, he tells the lifeless form that she will always be his little girl. He zips the bag back up, still sobbing, and buries his face in his hands...

  • What the heck kind of hospital is that to present a baby like that to a grieving dad? Take her and wrap her in a pink blanket, bring in the rocking chair and let the dad grieve. They treated that poor baby like she was a specimin in a jar

  • Incredible scene, just amazing.

  • Great interpretation of Jack

  • @Momoftwinsplus1 Agreed, when my father died and I had to view him they put him into a nice small room with a made up bed and him tucked in, disgusting about the way they treateed Bridgets little girl

  • I think everyone focus on the mothers lost and never really notice the fathers lost. I think the scene was great because it showed that fathers grieve too, just like mothers. Great acting. thanks for posting.

  • Well being a soap opera ...I guess they wanted to add to the dramatic effects and sadness... It works! It's a soap opera... plain and simple... I doubt that would happen in reality...

  • Like I said almost a year ago, it's to funny to take seriously.

  • How true, when my dad died they placed him in a lovely room (public hospital) that was available for viewing with chairs etc and time to grieve it was lovely, if my father a 144kg could get a viewing like that what about a tiny baby? how cruel to have her zipped up like that and have the father unzip the bag!

  • you are heartless!
